কলকাতা, ১১ জানুয়ারী, ২০২৫: ১১, ১২, ১৩ জানুয়ারী ৫৭তম পোশাক মেলা এবং বি২বি এক্সপো অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে কলকাতার সায়েন্স সিটিতে। ২ লক্ষ বর্গফুট এলাকা জুড়ে তিন দিনব্যাপী এই মেলা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পোশাক শিল্পকে প্রাণবন্ত করে তোলে। ৫৯ বছর ধরে শিল্পকে সেবা প্রদানকারী ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল পোশাক প্রস্তুতকারক ও বিক্রেতা সমিতি (WBGMDA) কর্তৃক আয়োজিত এই অনুষ্ঠানটি উল্লেখযোগ্য ব্যবসায়িক সুযোগ তৈরি করবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। এই ৫৭তম পোশাক ক্রেতা ও বিক্রেতা সম্মেলন এবং বি২বি এক্সপোতে প্রায় ৯০০টি জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক ব্র্যান্ড অংশগ্রহণ করবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে, যা শিশু, পুরুষ এবং মহিলাদের তৈরি পোশাকের উপস্থাপনা করবে এবং পাইকারি বাজারে আনুমানিক ১০০০- ১২০০ কোটি টাকার বাণিজ্যিক লেনদেন তৈরি করবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে।

Kolkata, 4th January 2025- Shri Pratap Singh Shami, Special Director General (Vendor Development) of the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) along with Shri Sanjay Kumar, CMM (G)/ER, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Executive Director, QA (Mechanical), Kolkata and RDSO team, visited Braithwaite & Co. Limited (BCL), a Miniratna-I CPSE under the Ministry of Railways on 04th January 2025.

During his visit, Shri Shami conducted a comprehensive inspection of the facility and observed various stages of wagon manufacturing. He expressed keen interest in the production processes, quality control measures, and innovative practices being implemented in the workshop. Shri Shami interacted with the workforce and management, gaining insights into the organization’s efforts to enhance efficiency and meet the growing demand for high-quality rail wagons.

The visit commenced with a warm welcome extended by Md. Asad Alam, Chairman and Managing Director, Braithwaite & Co. Limited. Later, Shri Shami also engaged with several vendors during his visit, echoing the need for collaborative efforts in vendor development to bolster the railway supply chain. He underscored the importance of a robust vendor network in achieving the Ministry of Railways’ objectives.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Executive Director, QA (Mechanical), also impressed upon the importance of expanding and strengthening the vendor base to make the railway supply chain more resilient and efficient. At the end, Shri Shami finished the visit by thanking the BCL team’s efforts and urged them to continue contributing to the modernization and extension of India’s rail infrastructure.

‘নৃত্যাঙ্গন ড্রিম ড্যান্স আকাডেমি’-র নির্দেশিকা জয়শ্রী দাস জানিয়েছেন, “আজকের সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানে আমাদের প্রতিষ্ঠানের সাড়ে তিন বছর থেকে ৩০ বছর বয়সের মোট ৬০ জন শিক্ষার্থী অংশগ্রহণ করেছে।

কলকাতা, ডিসেম্বর ২০, ২০২৪: মাটির থেকে যখন যাত্রী ঠাসা উড়োজাহাজ যখন হাজার হাজার ফিট উপরে, তখনই কখনও কখনও মেডিক্যাল ইমার্জেন্সী দেখা দেয়। এরকমই এক ঘটনায় একজন যাত্রীর শ্বাসকষ্ট শুরু হয় আর দ্রুত তার চামড়া যেন মলিন হতে শরীর করে। বাকি যাত্রীরা সকলেই চিন্তিত হয়ে পড়েন কিন্তু কি করবেন কূলকিনারা করতে পারছিলেন না। এই অবস্থায় ডঃ স্মিতা মৈত্র, কনসালটেন্ট এবং ইমার্জেন্সী বিভাগের দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত, মনিপাল হসপিটাল, ব্রডওয়ে এগিয়ে আসেন পরিস্থিতি সামাল দিতে।

এই ঘটনাটি হয় গত ৬ই ডিসেম্বর কলকাতা – দিল্লি ফ্লাইটে, যেখানে বিকানেরের ৪৫ বছর বয়সী মহিলা হঠাৎই হাইপারটেনশিভ হার্ট ফেলিওরের সম্মুখীন হন। ঘটনাচক্রে ওনার উচ্চ রক্তচাপের লম্বা ইতিহাস রয়েছে।

এই যাত্রী, একাই কলকাতা থেকে দিল্লি যাচ্ছিলেন। মধ্য আকাশে তখন উড়োজাহাজ ওড়ার স্রেফ পনেরো মিনিট হয়েছে, শরীর খারাপ হতে শুরু করে। প্রথমে শরীর একটু ভালো না লাগা থেকে শুরু হয়ে রীতিমত শ্বাসকষ্ট শুরু হয়। এর সাথে অসম্ভব বুকে ব্যথা আর চোকিং হওয়ার মত পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়। দ্রুত সংকটজনক পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয় এই যাত্রীর – খুব ঘামতে শুরু করেন তিনি। খুব ছটফট করতে শুরু করেন এবং আর কথা বলার জায়গায় ছিলেন না। কিছু মুহূর্তের মধ্যে তার রক্তচাপ বেড়ে হয়ে যায় ২৪০/১২০ মিলিমিটার মার্কারি, যা যথেষ্ট ঝুঁকির এবং শ্বাস প্রশ্বাস প্রায় অসম্ভব হয়ে উঠেছিল।

এই অবস্থায় যখন পরিস্থিতি রীতিমত হাতের বাইরে চলে যাচ্ছে, কেবিন ক্রু সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়ে দেন। এই সময়ে নায়কোচিত ভাবে ত্রাতার ভূমিকায় অবতীর্ণ হন ডঃ স্মিতা মৈত্র, কনসালটেন্ট এবং ইনচার্জ, ইমার্জেন্সী বিভাগ, মনিপাল হসপিটাল, ব্রডওয়ে। উনি তৎক্ষণাৎ পরিস্থিতির মোকাবিলা করেন। রোগীর অবস্থা দ্রুত দেখে নিয়ে, তিনি হাইপারটেনসিভ হার্ট ফেলিওরের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন। এটি এমন একটি পরিস্থিতি যখন হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত বা রেসপিরেটরি কোলাপস হয়ে যাওয়ার প্রভূত সম্ভাবনা থাকে।

ফ্লাইটে এই ইমার্জেন্সী অবস্থায় খুব কম উপকরণ থাকে যেখানে, তিনি দ্রুত এগিয়ে এসে সিদ্ধান্ত নেন:

* রোগীর উপর ল্যাসিক্স ইনজেকশন প্রয়োগ করেন যাতে ফ্লুইড বেড়ে যাওয়ার সমস্যার উপশম হয়

* সাবলিঙ্গুয়াল নাইট্রোগ্লিসারিন দেন যাতে বুকে ব্যথার কষ্ট কমে

* ইকোস্প্রিন দেন যাতে কার্ডিয়াক স্ট্রেস কমে

* স্বাস প্রশ্বাসের সুবিধার জন্য রোগীকে অক্সিজেন সাপোর্ট দেওয়া হয়

যখন রোগীর অবস্থা স্বাভাবিক হয়, ক্রু পাইলটকে জানায় এবং ফ্লাইট ঘুরিয়ে দেওয়া হয় রাঁচির দিকে, যেখানে একটি ইমার্জেন্সী মেডিক্যাল টিম অপেক্ষা করছিল রোগীর আপৎকালীন চিকিৎসার জন্য। বলাই বাহুল্য, ফ্লাইটের মধ্যে তখন ডাক্তারের উপস্থিতি না থাকলে, খুব খারাপ কিছু হতে পারত।

ডঃ স্মিতা মৈত্র, কনসালটেন্ট এবং ইনচার্জ, ইমার্জেন্সী বিভাগ, মনিপাল হসপিটাল, ব্রডওয়ে, বলেন,” এরকম প্রতিকূল পরিস্থিতিতে প্রতিটা সেকেন্ড খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে যায়। মাথা ঠাণ্ডা রেখে সঠিক সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া খুব প্রয়োজন এই সময়ে। এই ক্ষেত্রে হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হওয়া বা রেসপিরেটরি ফেলিওর হওয়ার প্রভূত সম্ভাবনা ছিল। আমি খুবই কৃতজ্ঞ যে আমার ট্রেনিং ও অভিজ্ঞতার দরুন আমি দ্রুত আপৎকালীন চিকিৎসায় অগ্রসর হতে পারি এবং ফ্লাইট রাঁচিতে নামার আগে রোগীকে কিছুটা স্থিতিশীল করতে পারি। ডাক্তার হিসেবে আমার সবচেয়ে বড় পাওনা যে আমি ওনার প্রাণ বাঁচাতে পেরেছি।”

ডঃ মৈত্রর এই আপৎকালীন চিকিৎসার সৌজন্যে যখন ফ্লাইট রাঁচিতে নামে, রোগীর অবস্থা স্থিতিশীল ছিল। রোগীকে হুইলচেয়ারে করে স্থানীয় হসপিটালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। পরবর্তীকালে জানা যায় যে রোগী সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ হয়েছেন এবং স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাপনে ফিরেছেন।

শীতের মরসুম। কলকাতায় একের পর এক রাগসঙ্গীতের অনুষ্ঠান। কিন্তু শুধুমাত্র ঘরানা কেন্দ্রিক রাগসঙ্গীতের আসর সারা দেশে বিরল। সেই বিরল অভিজ্ঞতার সাক্ষী থাকতে চলেছে কলকাতা। শুধুমাত্র মাইহার ঘরানাকে নিয়ে ২৫ ডিসেম্বর অনুষ্ঠিত হতে চলেছে ধ্রুপদী সঙ্গীতের আসর “ইকোস ফ্রম মাইহার”। এই উৎসবের উদ্যোক্তা মাইহার ঘরানারই এই সময়ের অন্যতম সেতারশিল্পী পার্থ বোস।

মাইহারের রাজদরবারে  ‘বাবা’ আলাউদ্দিন খাঁ  সাহেবের আগমন, অবস্থান ও ওই শহরে আমৃত্যু বসবাস। ‘বাবা’-র গুরুকুল থেকে উঠে এলেন এক ঝাঁক দিকপাল শিল্পী – আলী আকবর, অন্নপূর্ণা, রবিশঙ্কর, নিখিল বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, বাহাদুর খাঁ, পান্নালাল ঘোষ এবং আরো অনেকে ,প্রতিষ্ঠিত হল “মাইহার ঘরাণা” – যার প্রতিনিধিদের বিশ্বব্যাপী বিচরণক্ষেত্র।

যন্ত্র সঙ্গীতের একটি ঘরাণায় সরোদ, সেতার, সুরবাহার, বাঁশুরী, বেহালা, সন্তুর সহ এতগুলি যন্ত্রের ব্যবহার ও বাদনশৈলীর বৈচিত্র্য সঙ্গীতের ইতিহাসে বিরল। সেই বৈশিষ্ট্যকে তুলে ধরার প্রয়াসের মধ্যে জন্ম নিয়েছে “ইকোস ফ্রম মাইহার”। “মাইহারের প্রতিধ্বনি” – কলকাতা তথা বাংলার একমাত্র ঘরাণাভিত্তিক সঙ্গীত সম্মেলন।

পণ্ডিত পার্থ বসুর উদ্যোগে দ্বিতীয়বার এই সম্মেলন হতে চলেছে জ্ঞান মঞ্চ প্রেক্ষাগৃহে, সকাল এগারোটা থেকে রাত ন’টা পর্যন্ত। কুহক সংস্থার আয়োজনে এই সঙ্গীতসভা উৎসর্গ করা হবে মাইহার পরম্পরার দুই সঙ্গীত সাধকের স্মৃতির উদ্দেশ্যে –পণ্ডিত মনোজশংকর ও ওস্তাদ আশীষ খাঁ। শিল্পী-তালিকায় থাকছেন মাইহার ঘরানার  আন্তর্জাতিক স্বীকৃতিপ্রাপ্ত ছয়জন শিল্পী– সিরাজ আলী খাঁ, বসন্ত কাবরা,  কেন জুকারম্যান, নিত্যানন্দ হলদিপুর, তরুণ ভট্টাচার্য ও ইন্দ্রদীপ ঘোষ। পন্ডিত পার্থ বসুর কথায়, “মাইহার ঘরানার যে গভীরতা, ব্যাপ্তি এবং বৈচিত্র্য তার উদযাপন এই উৎসব। শুধুমাত্র একটা ঘরানাকে কেন্দ্র করে এমন অনুষ্ঠান কলকাতায় এই প্রথম। আশাকরি মানুষের ভাল লাগবে।” সারাদিনের এই আসর সঙ্গীতপ্রেমীদের মধ্যে ইতিমধ্যেই উৎসাহ ও চর্চার সঞ্চার করেছে।

He also unveiled the event film and brochure for the expo. Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, also graced the event. Shri Goyal lauded ministries and industry bodies from the automotive and mobility sectors for their initiative in organising Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the world’s second largest mobility show. The Expo’s theme, ‘Beyond Boundaries: Co-Creating the Future of the Automotive Value Chain,’ aligns seamlessly with the nation’s vision for a connected and integrated world, he said. He further emphasised on the government’s commitment to support the sector in its aim to become the pinnacle for mobility technology across the world and encouraged a faster transition to electric vehicles. Kolkata, December 17, 2024: The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) hosted a power packed roadshow in Kolkata today to build excitement for the upcoming ELECRAMA 2025, the world’s largest platform for the electrical and allied electronics industry. The event highlighted the active participation of 41 members from West Bengal, reflecting the state’s growing prominence in India’s electrical sector.
Looking forward, IEEMA is preparing to host ELECRAMA 2025, the world largest electrical show, taking place from February 22 to 26, 2025. This upcoming edition promises to break new records with participation from over 1,100 exhibitors, an expected footfall of 400,000 business visitors, more than 15,000 B2B meetings, 600+ hosted buyers from 80 countries, and 10+ country pavilions on display.
West Bengal, with its rich industrial heritage, is witnessing an increase in IEEMA membership, which now stands at an impressive 108 members from the state. This growth is a testament to the Association’s commitment to strengthening its presence and fostering collaboration in the region.
Speaking at the event, Vikram Gandotra, President-Elect, IEEMA and Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025 said, emphasised the importance of West Bengal’s participation in the exhibition, “The growing membership in West Bengal reflects the state’s critical role in driving India’s electrical and allied electronics sector. কলকাতা, ১৬ই ডিসেম্বর, ২০২৪: কিছু কিছু রহস্য যেন রহস্যই থেকে যায় যতক্ষণ না সঠিক লোকের চোখে পড়ে। জামশেদপুরের ২১ বছর বয়সী সুফিয়ান আলীর ক্ষেত্রেও ব্যাপারটা ছিল সেরকমই। তবে তার ক্ষেত্রে দীর্ঘদিন অসুস্থতা আর মেডিক্যাল ক্ষেত্রে অসম্ভব পারদর্শিতার নিদর্শন দেখা গেল। দুই বছর আগে খুব কফের সমস্যা হতে থাকে তার, কিছু সময় পর রক্ত পড়তে থাকে কফের সাথে।

বিভিন্ন ইএনটি (ENT) বিশেষজ্ঞর কাছে যান তিনি। তারা বেশ কিছু ওষুধ দেন, যার জন্য অস্থায়ী ভাবে রক্তপাত বন্ধ হয়। তবে প্রতি ৫-৬ মাস অন্তর কফ ফিরে আসছিল। গত মাসে কফ অনেকটাই বেড়ে যায় এবং তার সাথে মাঝে মাঝেই জ্বর আর ওজন কমা লক্ষ করা যায়। তখন তাকে মনিপাল হসপিটাল ব্রডওয়েতে যাওয়ার কথা বলা হয়, যেখানে ডঃ অপর্ণা চ্যাটার্জি, অ্যাসোসিয়েট কনসালটেন্ট, রেসপিরেটরি মেডিসিন, মনিপাল হসপিটাল, ব্রডওয়ের অধীনে অস্ত্রোপচার সম্পন্ন হয়। উপসর্গ দেখে শুরুতে বোঝাই যায়নি, যতক্ষণ না ছুঁচলো ধাতব স্প্রিংয়ের অস্তিত্ব – যা চোখে পড়েনি বা জানাও যায়নি আগে, ধরা পড়ল শেষমেশ শ্বাসনালীতে। এই ধাতব বস্তু পাওয়া গিয়েছিল ফুসফুসের বাম সাবকারিনাল (subcarinal) স্থানে – বুকের নীচের দিকে যেখানে শ্বাসনালী ছড়িয়ে যায় এবং ফুসফুসের সাথে যুক্ত হয়।

শুরুতে ব্রনকষ্কপি আর তার সাথে এন্ডব্রনকিয়াল আল্ট্রা সাউন্ড (EBUS) পরিকল্পনা করা হয়েছিল এটা ভেবে যে রোগীর উপসর্গ অনেকটাই যক্ষ্মা বা টিউবারকুলোসিসের মত। এই পদ্ধতি অবলম্বন করলে ফুসফুসের ভেতরের ছবি তৈরি হয় আর তার আশপাশের আর সবটাই সম্ভব হয় শব্দ তরঙ্গের মাধ্যমে। ব্রনকস্কোপের মাধ্যমে ঢোকানো হয় (একটি সরু, ফ্লেক্সিবল টিউব) শ্বাসনালীতে ; এই পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে ডাক্তাররা ফুসফুসের আশপাশের টিস্যু দেখা সম্ভব হয়। এর ফলে অনেক কিছু বোঝা সম্ভব হয়, একদিকে যেমন সংক্রমণ বোঝার জন্য লসিকা গ্রন্থি বা ক্যান্সার হয়েছে কিনা সেটাও বোঝা সম্ভব। শুরুতে যে এক্স রে করা হয়েছিল, সেখান থেকে কোন উপসংহারে আসা যায়নি। এরপর উচ্চ রেজোলিউশনের সিটি (CT) এইচআরসিটি (HRCT) থোরাক্স স্ক্যান করার ধরা পড়ে একটি দুই সেন্টিমিটার লম্বা ধাতব স্প্রিংয়ের উপস্থিতি।

রোগী এবং তার পরিবার, উভয়েই এই ধাতব বস্তুর উপস্থিতির ব্যাপারে কোন রকম আলোকপাত করতে পারেননি। এর ফলে মনিপাল হসপিটালের মেডিক্যাল টিমের কাছে কঠিন ধাঁধা ছিল। শুধু তাই নয়, কিভাবে বার করা হবে সেটিও বড় প্রশ্ন ছিল।

ডঃ অপর্ণা চ্যাটার্জি, অ্যাসোসিয়েট কনসালটেন্ট, রেসপিরেটরি মেডিসিন, মনিপাল হসপিটাল, ব্রডওয়ে, যিনি পুরো পদ্ধতির ক্ষেত্রে নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছেন, জানান,” এটি কোন সাধারণ কেস নয়। যখন বাইরের কিছু আমাদের ফুসফুসের নিচের দিকের অংশে কম কারণে আসে বা আঘাত করে, বিশেষ করে যখন আড়াআড়ি ভাবে সাধারণত যে জায়গায় আঘাত লাগে এরকম না হয়, তখন ট্র্যাডিশনাল পদ্ধতিতে এগিয়ে যাওয়া বেশ ঝুঁকির হয়ে পড়ে। তখন প্রয়োজন হয় খুব যত্ন সহকারে অ্যানগুলেশন এবং একাধিক বার র‍্যাট টুথ (rat- tooth) ফরসেপসের দ্বারা ওই জায়গা থেকে বস্তুটি সরানো এবং সতর্কতার সাথে বস্তুটি শরীর থেকে বাদ দেওয়া। এই ক্ষেত্রে আমরা সাফল্যের সাথে ধাতব বস্তুটি বার করে শরীর থেকে বাদ দিতে সফল হয়েছি খুব দক্ষতার সাথে এগিয়ে। খুব অল্প রক্তপাত হয়েছে যা সামলানো গিয়েছে, বিশেষ করে রোগীর স্বার্থের সাথে জড়িয়ে রয়েছে ব্যাপারটা যখন।”

পুরো বিষয়টি নিয়ে রোগী সুফিয়ান আলী বলেন,” আমার বিন্দুমাত্র ধারণা ছিল না যে আমার এরকম কিছু হতে পারে। এই অভিজ্ঞতা ভয়ানক বললেও কম নয়, যা জীবনকে থমকে দিয়েছিল। গত মাসে যখন আমার উপসর্গ গুলো আরো খারাপ হতে আরম্ভ করে, তখন আমাকে মনিপাল হসপিটাল ব্রডওয়েতে রেফার করা হয়, যেখানে ডাক্তাররা আমার এই অবিরাম রক্তপাতের কারণ বর করতে পারেন। ছুঁচ জাতীয় কোন জিনিস শ্বাসনালীতে আটকে গিয়েছিল। বাইরের জিনিস, যা সম্পূর্ণ অগোচরে ছিল এবং এর কারণেই গত দুই বছর ধরে এত কষ্ট হচ্ছিল। শেষমেশ ডাক্তারদের পারদর্শিতার কারণেই এই ছুঁচ জাতীয় জিনিস বার করা সম্ভব হয়েছে।”

গত ২৮ শে নভেম্বর ২০২৪ যখন তাকে ডিসচার্জ করা হয়, তখন তার অবস্থা অনেকটাই ভালো ছিল এবং আগে যেই সমস্যা থেকে অনেকটাই বিব্রত করেছিল, তার থেকে মুক্তি পেয়েছিল। তবে যক্ষ্মা বা টিউবারকুলোসিস ধরা পড়ার কারণে বর্তমানে চিকিৎসা চলছে ডঃ দেবরাজ যশ, রেসপিরেটরি মেডিসিন, মনিপাল হসপিটালের অধীনে। পরবর্তীকালে সুফিয়ান আলীকে নিয়মিত পর্যবেক্ষণে রাখা হবে যাতে স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাপনে ফেরার ক্ষেত্রে কোন সমস্যা না হয়।
